BNL Round 8: Mountaineers defeat Marlins in the closest game of the week - Oct 16, 2016

There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in BNL. Coincidentally all hosts won their games.

The most exciting game of round 8 in the BNL took place in Cape. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked Marlins (3-6) to fifth ranked Mountaineers (6-2) 75-73 on Friday evening. Mountaineers have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 6-2 record. Marlins lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with six games lost. Mountaineers are looking forward to face higher ranked Suns (#3) in Tshwane in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Marlins will have a break next round.
Fourth ranked Suns (6-1) beat at home 10th ranked N.C. Zebras (1-7) by 6 points 61-55, which is the biggest margin this round. Suns have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. N.C. Zebras lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with seven games lost. Suns will play against Mountaineers (#5) in Cape in the next round. N.C. Zebras will play at home against E.C. Windbreakers (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Tshwane S. - N.C. Zebras 61-55

Fourth ranked Suns (6-1) beat at home 10th ranked N.C. Zebras (1-7) by 6 points 61-55, which is the biggest margin this round. Suns have an impressive six-game winning streak. Egoli Magic claim BNL title - 4 months ago
Egoli Magic defended BNL title. They beat Tshwane in the championship game at the Wembley Stadium tonight. Egoli recorded a 22:11 lead ten minutes into the game. The Suns held their opponents to just 5 points in the second frame and pulled within 5 points at halftime 22:27. Tshwane pulled closer in the third quarter. They entered the fourth frame down by just 3 points. But Egoli Magic fired 23 points in the final stanza and rallied to a 62:47 victory at the end.   [read more]
