BNL Round 2: Panthers keep a leadership position - Sep 5, 2016

There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in BNL.

Panthers defeated Limpopo Pride in Johannesburg 70-59. Limpopo Pride will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Panthers will try to continue on its current victory against Magic. It will be extra interesting game as Magic is their local rival from Johannesburg.
Important game to mention about took place in . E.C. Windbreakers (1-0) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging Eagles (0-4) 59-56 on Saturday evening. E.C. Windbreakers will play against Magic in Johannesburg in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Eagles will play against Warriors (#9) to get more than just one victory in their record.
Magic (2-0) crushed at home Eagles (0-4) by 34 points 86-52, which is the biggest margin this round on Friday night. Magic's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Johannesburg Panthers.

In the last two games of round 2 Limpopo Pride won against Mpumalanga R. on the opponent's court 75-61. Tshwane S. managed to outperform Mpumalanga R. in a home game 74-61.

Egoli Magic claim BNL title - 4 months ago
Egoli Magic defended BNL title. They beat Tshwane in the championship game at the Wembley Stadium tonight. Egoli recorded a 22:11 lead ten minutes into the game. The Suns held their opponents to just 5 points in the second frame and pulled within 5 points at halftime 22:27. Tshwane pulled closer in the third quarter. They entered the fourth frame down by just 3 points. But Egoli Magic fired 23 points in the final stanza and rallied to a 62:47 victory at the end.   [read more]
