Thabang
Kgwedi
Defending champion Egoli Magic (BNL) agreed terms with experienced 38-year old ex-international forward Thabang Kgwedi (198-98kg-78). The last time (14) he played at KZN Marlins in South African BNL league.
Kgwedi's team won South African BNL Group B Regular Season in 2013.
He was also a member of South African international program for some years. Kgwedi played for South African Senior National Team between 2000 and 2011 and previously for University National Team between 2003 and 2005.
He also represented South Africa at the African Championships in Madagascar five years ago. His stats at that event were 5 games: 5.2ppg, 2.8rpg, 1.6spg, FGP: 26.5%, FT: 50.0%.
Kgwedi has spent his entire career in South Africa playing for two other teams: Cape Town Eagles and Panthers.
It's very possible he may end his playing career at Egoli Magic.
