Thierno
Niang
CB Agustinos-Eras E. Leclerc Leon (LEB Silver) agreed terms with 27-year old Senegalese international point guard Thierno Niang (185-93kg-90, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee). He started the season at RETAbet Gipuzkoa BC San Sebastian in the LEB Gold. In 12 games he had just 2.2ppg this season. LEB Silver will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time.
Niang's college team won Horizon League Tournament in 2014.
He has been also a member of Senegalese international program for some years. Niang has regularly played for Senegalese senior team since 2009 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2008.
He represented Senegal at the African Championships in Madagascar six years ago. His stats at that event were 5 games: 3.8ppg, 2.6rpg, 1.8apg, 1.0spg.
Niang has played previously professionally in Senegal (DUC Dakar, Rail and Bridgston) and Egypt (Geish Army).
He attended University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee until 2014 and it is his third season as a professional player.
Niang could be described: Bobo is a strong, athletic guard. On offense, he is unselfish and gets all of his teammates involved.
