RETAbet Gipuzkoa BC San Sebastian (LEB Gold) tabbed 26-year old Senegalese international point guard Thierno Niang (185-93kg-90, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee). He has played for the last two years at Geish Army in Egyptian Superleague.
Niang's college team won Horizon League Tournament in 2014.
He has been also a member of Senegalese international program for some years. Niang has regularly played for Senegalese senior team since 2009 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2008.
He represented Senegal at the African Championships in Madagascar five years ago. His stats at that event were 5 games: 3.8ppg, 2.6rpg, 1.8apg, 1.0spg.
Niang has played also professionally for other Senegalese teams like DUC Dakar, Rail and Bridgston.
He attended University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee until 2014 and it will be his third season in pro basketball.
Niang is described as: Bobo is a strong, athletic guard. On offense, he is unselfish and gets all of his teammates involved.

Nigeria - Senegal 76:71 Nigeria continue their AfroBasket title defence. The defending champions beat Senegal in the semifinal clash tonight. Nigeria will try to repeat as champions in the title game versus Tunisia tomorrow. Bryant Mbamalu (191-SG-91, college: La-Lafayette) nailed 19 points and grabbed 7 boards to pace the winners. Senegal - Angola 66:57 Senegal punched the AfroBasket semifinal ticket. They toppled Angola in the last quarterfinal game of the day in Tunis.
