Mame Souleye
Al Arabi Club Doha (D1) added to their roster 29-year old Qatari ex-international center Mame Souleye (206-87) from Al Wakrah. In 18 D1 games he recorded 14.1ppg, 10.6rpg, 1.0apg and 1.3bpg last season. A very spectacular year in his career as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com Qatar D1 All-Domestic Players Team. He also spent pre-season at Qatar Sports Club that year. Great season indeed as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com Qatar D1 All-Domestic Players Team.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Souleye won Qatari League championship title in 2011. He was also voted Asia-Basket.com Qatari D1 All-Domestic Players Team back in 2012.
He is a dual citizen owning also Senegalese passport.
Souleye represented Qatar at the Pan Arab Games in Doha (Qatar) five years ago. His team won Gold and his stats at that event were 6 games: 2.2ppg, 3.0rpg.
Thanks to Souleye's pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Asia, Africa and of course North America). Souleye has played previously professionally in Qatar (Al Rayyan and Al Gharafa) and Senegal (JA Dakar).
