Actel Forca Lleida (LEB Gold) inked 26-year old Senegalese center Papa Mbaye (209-90) from FC Barcelona II. Mbaye has played there for the last three years. In 29 LEB Gold games in Spain he averaged 9.1ppg, 6.6rpg and 1.5bpg last season. A very good year in his career as he was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LEB Gold Honorable Mention. Among other achievements his team made it to the Spanish ACB final for two years in a row (2013 and 2014). Mbaye received also Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LEB Silver Defensive Player of the Year award back in 2012. He represented Senegal at the African Championships U18 in Egypt eight years ago. He played recently at Oklahoma City Blue (NBA G League) in the U.S. Djitte also played for Salt Lake City Stars in U.S. semi-pro league NBA G League earlier that season where in 7 games he recorded just 2.1ppg and 3.6rpg this season. Last year he was drafted by Salt Lake City (G-League) in second round (28th overall). Djitte attended Clemson University until 2017 and it is his first season in pro basketball. He helped his team to make it to the NIT Final Four in 2014.
