Canadian National Team are into the FIBA Qualifing Tournament Semifinals after recording their second win over Senegal 58-55 after a close game. Canadians led from the beginnig of the game, but Senegal kept close and still had chances to win, but they couldn't force good defense of Jay Triano team. Cory Joseph (190-PG-91, college: Texas) was the best scorer of the winners with 13 points. Tyler Ennis (188-G-94, college: Syracuse) added 12, Melvin Ejim (198-F-91, college: Iowa St.) 11 and 8 rebounds. Tristan Thompson (206-F-91, college: Texas) had 7 points and 10 rebounds. Maurice Ndour (206-F-92, college: Ohio) responded with 16 points for Africans.

Senegal name Abdourahmane Ndiaye as head coach - 7 days ago
Twelve years on, and Abdourahmane Ndiaye is back at the helm of Senegal men's team, the country's Basketball Federation announced. Ndiaye - for some, one of the highly-regarded Senegalese coaches - led his country to a Second-Place finish at FIBA AfroBasket 2005 and has spent most of his coaching career in France's PRO A.
