REG crowned Heroes basketball tournament champions - 12 days ago
RWANDA Energy Group (men) and IPRC-South (women) were on crowned champions of the 2018 National Heroes Basketball Tournament that concluded on Sunday evening at Amahoro Indoor Stadium. REG claimed the title after overcoming archrivals Patriots in a narrow 54-51 win while IPRC-South stunned hopefuls APR in another hard fought 79-77 win to clinch the women's title. Niyonsaba's double-double leads IPRC-South to victory - 27 days ago
Rwanda international Bienvenue Niyonsaba(PF) scored a team-high 20 points and 12 rebounds to help IPRC-South overcome IPRC-Kigali in a narrow 69-68 overtime win in the national basketball league on Saturday in Huye. With victory, IPRC-South jumped from fifth to third position in the league table standings with 11 points from seven games, (four wins and 3 losses). Rwanda to face Mali in FIBA World Cup Qualifiers opener - 1 month ago
Rwanda men's national basketball will face hosts Mali in the Group B opening game at the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifiers First Round to be staged in Bamako from February 23-25. The Malian capital will host Group B that consists of Mali, Nigeria, Uganda and Rwanda.
