Patriots Basketball Club inks Jean de Dieu Niagunduka, ex Urunani - Feb 13, 2016

Patriots Basketball Club (D1) agreed terms with Burundian ex-international Jean de Dieu Niagunduka. He played most recently at Urunani in Burundian D1 league. Niagunduka was named to Burundian National Team in 2013. He was a member of Burundian Senior National Team since then.

RWANDA men's senior national basketball team will not play any international friendly matches ahead of the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifiers first round due February 23-25 in Bamako, Mali. RWANDA Energy Group (men) and IPRC-South (women) were on crowned champions of the 2018 National Heroes Basketball Tournament that concluded on Sunday evening at Amahoro Indoor Stadium. REG claimed the title after overcoming archrivals Patriots in a narrow 54-51 win while IPRC-South stunned hopefuls APR in another hard fought 79-77 win to clinch the women's title.
