Ike Okoye
Al Karkh (Superleague) signed 31-year old American (has also Nigerian passport) power forward Ike Okoye (206-86, college: Boise State, agency: Aspire Sports). He played last season at Salta Basket in Argentinian TNA. In 24 games he had 12.5ppg, 7.8rpg and 1.0bpg. Okoye also played that season for Deportivo Valdivia in Chilean Liga Nacional where in 9 games he recorded 14.9ppg, 12.4rpg and 1.4apg.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Latinbasket.com All-Chilean Liga Nacional Center of the Year in 2015.
Okoye is quite experienced player. He has played in eleven different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Okoye has played previously professionally in Estonia (TLU/Kalev), Finland, Germany, Holland, Poland (Stelmet), Romania, Spain (Palencia_Baloncesto and Sammic Iraurgi Saski Baloia), Uruguay (25 de Agosto), Bolivia (La Salle Tarija) and Chile (CD Castro).
He attended Boise State until 2010 and it will be his eighth season as a professional player.
Okoye could be described: Ike is a triple threat post man - scorer. He can score with his back to the buck with good footwork. He can face up and shoot or face up and drive to the rim and finish. He is fast in transition and aggressive on rebounds especially defensive rebounds. Good court vision and goog basketball IQ. Great character on and off the court.
