Lille signs Cory Remekun - Oct 6, 2017

Cory Remekun
Lille Metropole Basket (ProB) signed 26-year old American (has also Nigerian passport) power forward Cory Remekun (203-107kg-91, college: St.Louis, agency: Inception Sports). He played last season at Helios in Slovenian Liga Nova KBM. In 19 games he had 6.9ppg and 4.5rpg. Remekun helped them to make it to the Supercup final. He also played 13 games in Basketball Champions League where he recorded 5.3ppg, 6.5rpg, 1.1apg and 1.0bpg.
The previous (15-16) season Remekun played at Rogaska (Telemach League) in Slovenia. In 26 games he averaged 11.6ppg, 7.8rpg (#5 in the league) and 1.3bpg. A very impressive season as he was named to Slovenian League All-Star Game and All-Defensive Team.
His college team won Atlantic 10 Tournament in 2013.
Remekun has played also professionally in Bosnia (Siroki Primorka), Germany (Dragons Rhoendorf) and Greece (Nea Kifisia).
He attended Saint Louis University until 2013 and it will be his fifth season as a professional player.

The D'Tigers of Nigeria began their World Cup qualifier on a winning note as they defeated Uganda 102-86 in Bamako, Mali. The opening exchanges were tight as both teams tried to establish dominance.
