Tezenis Verona (Serie A2) strengthened their roster with addition of 20-year old naturalized Nigerian power forward Curtis Nwohuocha (202-97, agency: Players Group) from Blu Basket Gruppo Remer Treviglio. In 35 Serie A2 games he recorded 3.3ppg and 2.7rpg last season.
The previous (15-16) season Nwohuocha played at MIA-Red October Cantu (Serie A). But in 5 games he did not score anything and had only 3 rebounds and 2 assists. He also played 2 games in FIBA Europe Cup, but he did not score anything and had only 2 rebounds.
Nwohuocha represented Italy at the European Championships U18 in Volos (Greece) two years ago. His stats at that event were 9 games: 3.2ppg, 4.4rpg, 1.2spg.
The scouts decsribe him following way: A very athletic, powerful player with yet nice upside. He plays with great energy at both sides of the court, has great rebound grabbing skills, his future is probably at the 4 position.
