Vaqueros de Bayamon (BSN) signed experienced 34-year old Nigerian ex-international center Jeleel Akindele (216-110kg-83, college: Chicago State, agency: BeoBasket). It is actually his comeback to Vaqueros as he has played here before. Akindele He just played at Fuerza Regia in Mexican LNBP. In 44 games he had 13.7ppg, 8.3rpg and 2.4apg this season. The last summer Akindele played at Vaqueros where in 52 BSN games he recorded 14.7ppg, 8.8rpg, 2.5apg and 1.1bpg. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. A very impressive season as he was named to Latinbasket.com Puerto Rican BSN All-Imports Team.
Akindele's team won Montenegrin Cup in 2014.
He also played at the WABA Clubs Championships four years ago.
Akindele is quite experienced player. He has played in ten different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Akindele has played previously professionally in China (Monkey Kings), France, Iran (Petrochimi), Italy (Juvecaserta and Mens Sana 1871 Siena), Lebanon (Champville), Russia (Spartak Primorie Vladivostok), Spain (Gran Canaria and Baloncesto Fuenlabrada), Turkey (Yesilgiresun Bld), Montenegro (Buducnost) and Dominican Republic (Metros de Santiago).
He attended Chicago State until 2005 and it is his twelfth (!!!) season as a professional player.
Akindele could be described: A raw, athletic big man with great shotblocking ability.

London Lightning (NBL Canada) agreed terms with American (has also Nigerian passport) center Olaniyi Akingkube (208-102kg, college: N.Carolina A&T).
