Odunsi
Stjarnan (Dominos League) inked 25-year old American (has also Nigerian passport) guard Anthony Odunsi (193-93kg-92, college: Houston Baptist). He just graduated from Houston Baptist University (NCAA). In 32 games he averaged impressive 17.3ppg, 4.6rpg, 3.7apg and 1.2spg last season. Odunsi helped them to make it to the semifinals. It was a very successful season in his career as he was selected to All-Southland Conference 1st Team and NABC All-District 23 1st Team.
Last year Odunsi was drafted by Canton Charge (D-League) in fifth round (95th overall).
He just came directly from Houston Baptist University and it is his first season in pro basketball.
Odunsi's college team won AEC Tournament in 2014.

Rivers Hoopers basketball club of Port Harcourt fell 93-57 road loss to Kwara Falcons on Thursday at the Indoor Sports Hall of the Kwara Stadium, Ilorin. Somto Managor scored 11 points and 2 rebounds, the lone bright spot with double digits for the Port Harcourt side as Hoopers lost just their second game of the 2016/2017 Kwese Premier Basketball League Season. The KingsMen started the game in a lackadaisical manner, lacking patience on the ball from the onset, missing point blank layup...   [read more]
Hoppers coach, Odaudu confident of sustaining wining streak on the road - 3 days ago
After playing 9 games in the 2016/2017 Kwese Premier Basketball league, winning 8 games in succession including 7 home wins, many still doubt the potentials of the River state owned basketball team, Rivers Hoopers. Some basketball enthusiasts believe such run of form would be difficult for the Ogoh Odaudu-led team to sustain when they face their bulky away schedule. As much as one may be tempted to agree that the new players in the squad have made meaningful quota to the team's success...   [read more]
