Ekenechukwu Ibekwe (ex Fraport SKY) signs at Usak - Dec 30, 2016

Muratbey Usak Sportlif Basketbol (BSL) landed 31-year old Nigerian international center Ekenechukwu Ibekwe (207-100kg-85, college: Maryland). He already started the season at Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt in German BBL league. Ibekwe managed to play in three leagues in two countries this year (!!!). In 8 BBL games he averaged 7.9ppg and 4.6rpg. Ibekwe also played 9 games in Basketball Champions League where he had 9.3ppg and 4.2rpg. The other team he played shortly was CEZ Nymburk in Czech Republic NBL. In 7 BBL games he recorded 6.3ppg, 3.7rpg, 1.3apg, 1.0spg and 1.4bpg.
Ibekwe has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2012.
Among other achievements he received Australiabasket.com Australian NBL All-Imports Team award in 2015.
Ibekwe also represented Nigeria at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) this year.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball Ibekwe experienced life in nine different countries playing on five different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American, Australian and of course North American leagues. Ibekwe has played previously professionally in France, Israel (Ironi Ashkelon), Lebanon (Sagesse and Byblos), Puerto Rico (Manati), Russia (Krasny Oktyabr), Spain (Gipuzkoa), Australia (United and New Zealand Breakers) and Turkey (Bandirma Kirmizi).
He attended University of Maryland until 2007 and it is his tenth season in pro basketball.

Defending champions, Kano Pillars have won the Kwese Premier League Savannah Conference Six play-offs after winning all their five matches and ending the championship with one hundred percent record finish. Ojo inks at FMP Beograd at the beginning of his pro career - 3 days ago
FMP Beograd (KLS) strengthened their roster with addition of 24-year old Nigerian center Michael Ojo (216-138kg-93). Ojo just graduated from Florida State University (NCAA). He has played there for the last five years. In 35 games he recorded 4.9ppg and 3.2rpg last season. Ojo helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in Atlantic Coast Conference.
