The other team he played shortly was CEZ Nymburk in Czech Republic NBL. In 7 BBL games he recorded 6.3ppg, 3.7rpg, 1.3apg, 1.0spg and 1.4bpg.
Ibekwe has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2012.
Among other achievements he received Australiabasket.com Australian NBL All-Imports Team award in 2015.
Ibekwe also represented Nigeria at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) this year.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball Ibekwe experienced life in nine different countries playing on five different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American, Australian and of course North American leagues. Ibekwe has played previously professionally in France, Israel (Ironi Ashkelon), Lebanon (Sagesse and Byblos), Puerto Rico (Manati), Russia (Krasny Oktyabr), Spain (Gipuzkoa), Australia (United and New Zealand Breakers) and Turkey (Bandirma Kirmizi).
He attended University of Maryland until 2007 and it is his tenth season in pro basketball.
Let's have closer look into Ibekwe's outlook: A long, lean dynamic post player with unlimited athletic potential. a talented shooter for his size who can take the ball to the basket and score in the post ... a high-flying finisher and shot blocker.
