Sporting Alexandria edge Ferroviario Beira in the opener of the Champions Cup. The team from Egypt overcame Mozambique representative 75:49.
Sporting Alexandria won the first period 19-13 and added 15-13 rally in the second frame. The second half also belonged to the favorites. Ferroviario Beira (D1) inked 25-year old American point guard Angelo Warner (188-88kg-92, college: Morehead State). He played most recently at Mapfree Life in Cypriot North League. He helped them to win the cup. A very good season in his career as he was voted to Cyprus North League All-Imports Team.
