Mozambique-Angola 73:91

Angola closed Day 3 with the win over Mozambique at the 2013 AfroBasket. Angola won three quarters of the game for the final 91:73 win. Angola improved to 2-0 record in Group C, while Mozambique has 1-1 record.
Angola started the game with a 17-14 run, but the opponents grabbed the lead at the halftime after a 24-20 rally. Only due to the second half Angola managed to win the game. They posted 23-13 surge in the third period and finished the game with 31-22 burst.
Carlos Morais (193-G-85) paced all the winners with 16 points and Olimpio Cipriano (194-F-82) netted 11. Reggie Moore (203-PF-81, college: ORU), Felizardo Ambrosio (202-F-87) and Milton Barros (184-G-84) scored 10 each. Silvio Letela (190-PG-82) replied with 12 points in defeat and Augusto Matos (186-PG-90) netted 11. Samora Mucavel (186-G-86) poured in 10, whilst Octavio Magolico (200-C-84) had 8.

Ferroviario de Maputo celebrate the title in the country as they won the Final series against Ferroviario da Beira. In the last game Ferroviario de Maputo posted a final 69-56 win to seal the trophy. Ferroviario Beira (D1) landed 30-year old Togolese ex-international guard Jimmy Williams (196-86, college: Alderson-Broaddus, WV). He has a double citizenship as he also holds American passport. Williams played most recently at Al Ahli in Qatari D1 league. In 12 games he was fourth best scorer with impressive 23.4ppg and recorded 6.8rpg, 2.3apg and 1.1spg last season.
