D1 Round 16: CRA Hoceima beats WAC in the most crucial game of the week - Apr 20, 2017

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Casablanca. Second ranked CRA Hoceima faced 4th ranked WAC. Guests from Al Hoceima (11-1) defeated host WAC (8-5) 78-61. CRA Hoceima have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 11-1 record behind leader ASS Sale. WAC lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with five games lost.
Another exciting game was between eighth ranked IRT Tanger and 5th ranked FAR Rabat where IRT Tanger (6-6) won against FAR Rabat (8-6) on the road 77-73. IRT Tanger moved-up to seventh place. FAR Rabat at the other side keeps the fifth position with six games lost.
Leader ASS Sale delivered the twelfth victory on Wednesday night. This time they crushed 6th ranked KACM (6-7) 99-78. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of KACM. Defending champion maintains first position with 12-2 record. Newly promoted KACM dropped to the eighth place with seven games lost.
The game with biggest result difference took place in . Local IRAN (1-13) was outscored by seventh ranked FUS Rabat (7-7) 64-33. FUS Rabat moved-up to sixth place. IRAN lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with 13 games lost.

In the last game of round 16 MAS Fes crushed KAC in a road game 84-64.

KAC - MAS Fes 64-84

There was no surprise in Kenitra where 9th ranked KAC (4-10) was crushed by third ranked MAS Fes (10-4) 84-64. MAS Fes have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 10-4 record having just two points less than leader ASS Sale. Newly promoted KAC keeps the ninth place with ten games lost.

AS Sale defends the title - 23 days ago
AS Sale defended the title in Morocco winning Morocco Basketball League 2016/2017. In the Final game they overcame Maghreb Fez 86-63. In the game for the third place Wydad Casablanca beat Chabab Rif Al Hoceima 92-74. Earlier Maghreb Fez outscored Chabab Rif Al Hoceima 98-89 in the semifinals.
