D1 Round 14: Last-ranked Etudiant beats WAC - Apr 14, 2017

Bottom-ranked Etudiant managed to get a second victory, breaking the nine-game losing streak on Sunday night. This time they outleveled ninth-ranked WAC in Tetouan 80-49. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 31-point difference proves that Etudiant was well-prepared to that game. Etudiant (2-9) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with defeated WAC. WAC lost ninth consecutive game. Etudiant is looking forward to face league's leader Chabab in Al Hoceima in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. WAC will play at home against the league's second-placed ASE (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
Leader Chabab delivered the ninth win. This time they beat 7th ranked FUS Rabat (4-7) 51-44. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of FUS Rabat. Chabab (9-2) have an impressive six-game winning streak. Newly promoted Chabab maintains first position. FUS Rabat at the other side keeps the seventh place with seven games lost. Chabab will play against Etudiant (#9) in Tetouan in the next round and are hoping to win another game. FUS Rabat will play on the road against ACK in Belksiri and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Rabat was also quite interesting. Third ranked Kenitra (8-3) played at the court of 5th ranked FAR (6-5). Kenitra defeated FAR 72-61 on Sunday. Kenitra have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with ASE. FAR lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with CODM. Kenitra will meet at home CODM (#5) in the next round. FAR will play against Wydad in Safrou and hope to secure a win.

In the last game of round 14 ACK defeated CODM in Belksiri 67-59.

CODM - ACK 59-67

There was a minor upset in Meknes where one of their biggest challengers CODM (6-5) was defeated by sixth ranked ACK (7-5) 67-59. ACK moved-up to fourth place. CODM at the other side dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. ACK's next round opponent will be FUS Rabat (#7) at home. CODM will play against Kenitra and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

ASE - Wydad 87-49
