D1 Round 13: ASS Sale beats FAR Rabat in the most crucial game of the week - Apr 2, 2017

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Sale. First ranked ASS Sale faced 4th placed FAR Rabat. Host ASS Sale (10-1) defeated guests from Rabat (7-4) 86-81. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of FAR Rabat. ASS Sale have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 10-1 record. FAR Rabat at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with MAS Fes. ASS Sale are looking forward to face IRT Tanger (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. FAR Rabat will play against IRAN and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
Leader ASS Sale delivered the tenth victory. This time they crushed bottom-ranked RSB Berkane (0-10) 93-63. ASS Sale have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 10-1 record. Newly promoted RSB Berkane still closes the standings with ten games lost. ASS Sale will play against IRT Tanger (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. RSB Berkane will play against KACM (#8) in Marrakech and hopes to get finally their first victory.
Bottom-ranked RSB Berkane (0-10) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 83-76 loss to eighth ranked FUS Rabat (4-6) in Berkane on Saturday evening. FUS Rabat moved-up to seventh place, which they share with KACM. Newly promoted RSB Berkane still closes the standings with ten games lost. FUS Rabat will meet KACM (#8) in the next round. RSB Berkane will play against KACM in Marrakech and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
The game in Marrakech was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked MAS Fes (7-4) played at the court of 6th ranked KACM (4-6). MAS Fes managed to secure a 6-point victory 69-63. MAS Fes have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with FAR Rabat. KACM lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. MAS Fes' next round opponent will be higher ranked WAC (#3) in Casablanca and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. KACM will play at home against FUS Rabat (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 13 WAC defeated IRAN in Casablanca 78-66. KAC was beaten by CRA Hoceima at home 76-83.

KACM - MAS Fes 63-69

The game in Marrakech was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked MAS Fes (7-4) played at the court of 6th ranked KACM (4-6). MAS Fes managed to secure a 6-point victory 69-63. MAS Fes have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with FAR Rabat. KACM lost third consecutive game. Iran - WAC 66-78

There was no surprise when 10th ranked IRAN (1-10) was defeated at home by third ranked WAC (8-2) 78-66. WAC maintains third place with 8-2 record having just three points less than leader ASS Sale. IRAN lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. WAC's next round opponent will be MAS Fes (#5) on the road. IRAN will play against FAR Rabat (#4) and hope to win that game.

RSB Berkane - FUS Rabat 76-83

Bottom-ranked RSB Berkane (0-10) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 83-76 loss to eighth ranked FUS Rabat (4-6) in Berkane on Saturday evening. No shocking result in a game in Kenitra where second ranked CRA Hoceima (9-1) defeated 9th ranked KAC (3-8) 83-76. CRA Hoceima maintains second place with 9-1 record behind leader ASS Sale. KAC lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. CRA Hoceima will have a break next round. KAC will play on the road against FUS Rabat (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
