Uhud Medina (SBL) agreed terms with 30-year old Morocco ex-international power forward Omar Lanani (210-87). He is a dual citizen owning also Senegalese passport. Lanani played most recently at FAR Rabat in Moroccan D1 league. The previous (14-15) season he played at IRT Tanger (also in D1). Lanani helped them to make it to both league and Cup finals. Tunisia's US Monastir conceded defeat to Morocco's MAS Fes 75-77 at a FIBA African Champions Cup preliminary tournament last-day game played on Thursday evening in Monastir. This defeat has no consequence for the Tunisian club who had already booked their ticket for the final phase scheduled from December 11 to 20 in Rades.
