This week -end will be the end of the regular season and even though the finalise list of teams qualified for the playoffs is already known, it will really interesting to see how the teams react this week - end as the race for the relagation is also an important isuue for the bottom teams. We do also have the greatly awaited match between the Real and the Flippers, which we hope to be as exciting as the 1st one where the Flippers lost only by 8 points.... It will also be interesting to watch the one - on - one between the 2 MVPs, Ghislain Fanny and Pascal Prayag, who are both in good form this year scoring an average of 30 points per match. Also, it will be interesting to watch how the gifted player, Jason Howie, reacts against one of the best defensive team in the league.

The Match is scheduled this Sunday @ 16hr00 at the Phoenix Gymnasium.

The potential relegating Teams:

In 1st position of the teams who are potentially relegated are the Barkly basket - ball club. Even though the team have made some good wins in the past matches, it may be a little bit too late to stay in the 1st Division for the team of Samuel Martin that had been promoted this year itself.

We also have the Malherbes Sonics who are also finding the 1st Division level a bit too hard as they have lost their last 8 matches and the return to division 2 seems inevitable at 1 week to the end of the season.

The CSSC is also not exempted from being relegated even though it has a good margin of staying up having made a few important wins at the end of the season.

The long ago champions, the Attila, are now finding hard to be a dominate figure of the local basketball as they
were before and are now fighting to stay in the top elite teams in the country but it is going to be difficult for them considering their last performances.

Finally, we have the EDB who are also a candidate for the relagation as they had a really dissapointing season and are now playing for the survival in the top league.

The Playoffs Team:

At 1 week of the end of the championship, the playoffs team are already known and they are the Real, current champions and unbeaten since the beginning of the league, are at the nuber one spot of the standings and looks overall favourite for one more title this year.

At the number 2 spot, we have the USBBRH, who have made a good season having lost only to the Real this year. They look like the favourite for a place in the final against the Real.

The 3rd Spot is occupied by the Flippers who have also stand up to the expectations this season even though some its players have leave the team for personal reasons.

The last play off spot is occupied by the CDB who will find it hard to get to the final playing against the Real in the semi.

The playoffs match:

1. Real v/s CDB - It will be hard to see the CDB beat the Real on this one.

2. USBBRH v/s Flippers - This one will be quite an interesting match as not much seperate the 2 teams.

The playoffs is scheduled on the 5th and 6th of November.

The Deception Team :

The most deceptive team this year is surely the EDB who have carried out a really bad season going from Playoff Team last year to one who is fighting to not get relegated this year....

The Most Improved Team:

The team, in my opinion who have improved the most this year is the ASVP who, after a bad start in the league have been<
