Hi there to you all basket - ball fans,

A new year lies in front of us and here in Mauritius, we will try to make this year the year of Basket - Ball. There are many interesting changes that have occured in our basket - ball environment and the impact of these changes will be most interesting to watch....

The season will start with the Masters Tournament beginning on the 12 of January, where the first match itself will be an interesting clash between the Real, current Champions and the Flippers, one among the main favorite to win the title this year. It will be also interesting to watch the how the Magic will react in this tournament as the team has lost some of its key elements and even the popular coach, Jean - Marie Bhugheerathee has moved to USBBRH.

One another inetersting team to watch will be the Union Sportive of Beau - Bassin who have made massive recruitment and changes in its team and on paper, stands as one of the main role playing to win the title this year especially that the town have made large investments in the team this year....

So, the MASTERS TOURNAMENT, which involve only the 4 best team in the country, that is, The Real of Port - Louis, the Magic of Quatres - Bornes, the Mahebourg Flippers and the Cassis BC, will kick off this season full of great expectations and which will be a key figure in the promotion of basket - ball on the island. Hope now that the sponsors, media and especially the Government will follow this feeling of helping this sport that we love so much here...

So, keep connected to africa basket as we will covered all the basket - ball matches and events here in Mauritius...

From Pascal Prayag and Bradley Grandsable

Happy New Basket - Ball Year
