AS Police seal Cup title at the Palais des Sports Salamatou Maiga - May 6, 2017

AS Police celebrated the Cup title at the Palais des Sports Salamatou Maiga in Mali. In the Final game they overcame As Real de Bamako 66-61. As Police posted an 18-12 lead at the start of the game and led 10 points at the halftime. Real de Bamako reduced to 52-43 at the end of the third period and managed to cut the deficit in the last period, however could not catch up with the opponents.   


USFAS takes the leadership position - 2 days ago
USFAS took the leadership position in the League as beating As Sigui 79-66. They improved to a 10-1 record, while the opponents dropped at 4-7. Stade is second with an 8-2 record after a win over Real 70-61. As Police is third with a 7-3 record beating USM 89-44. The latter dropped at 1-10 record on the 8th place.   [read more]

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Mali players, who play currently abroad. This week's number one is an experienced former international forward Amara Sy (202-81, agency: BeoBasket). He could not help Monaco (25-9) in their last game. Despite Sy's very good performance the league leader Monaco was crushed 108-80 on the road by the lower-ranked (#6) ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket.    [read more]

USFAS and Stade improved at 7-1 records on top of Ligue 1 Masculine. USFAS demolished USM 120-68 at the Palais des sport Salamata Maiga. Stade meanwhile overcame AS Sigui 82-54. In another game CRB beat Jeanne D'arc 50-47. CRB improved to a 3-5 record, while Jeanne D'arc dropped at 2-6. Real and As Police share the 3-4 places with the same 5-3 records.   [read more]
