USFAS remain undefeated at the start of 2017 season posting four victories in a row. In the latest game USFAS grabbed an 80-52 win against Attar club de Kidal for a 4-0 record on top. SIGUI de Kayes, AS Real, Stade and AS Police each share the second place with 3-1 records. AS Real overcame Jeanne d'Arc 55-52, while AS Polce outscored CBD de Koulikoro 56-48. In another game Sigui de Kayes beat Stade malien 57-49.

Stade Nabeulien (Division I) added to their roster 25-year old Mali international forward Ibrahim Djambo (208-98kg-92, college: Hofstra). He is a dual citizen owning also American passport. Djambo played last season at Seguros Soliss Alcazar Basket in Spanish EBA league, but left the team in Feb.'17. In 16 LEB Silver games he recorded 5.0ppg and 2.9rpg.
