Sharks Antibes (ProA) strengthened their roster with addition of 23-year old naturalized Malian power forward Nianta Diarra (205-93). He played most recently at Souffel in ProB. However his team was relegated to NM1. In 34 games he recorded 6.9ppg and 5.5rpg last season.
The previous (14-15) season Diarra played at STB Le Havre (also in ProB) where in 19 games he averaged just 2.3ppg and 2.1rpg.
He helped his team to make it to the Cup Semifinals in 2014.

AS Police celebrated the Cup title at the Palais des Sports Salamatou Maiga in Mali. In the Final game they overcame As Real de Bamako 66-61. As Police posted an 18-12 lead at the start of the game and led 10 points at the halftime. Real de Bamako reduced to 52-43 at the end of the third period and managed to cut the deficit in the last period, however could not catch up with the opponents.   [read more]

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Mali players, who play currently abroad. This week's number one is former U16 international power forward Cheick Diallo (206-96). He could not help the New Orleans Pelicans (34-48) in their last game.
