New Orleans Pelicans (NBA) strengthened their roster with addition of 20-year old Mali power forward Cheick Diallo (206-104kg-96). Diallo just graduated from Kansas (NCAA). In 27 games he recorded 3.0ppg and 2.5rpg last season. He helped them to win Big 12 Tournament and end the regular season at the top position.
This summer Diallo was drafted by Los Angeles Clippers in second round (33rd overall). He just graduated from Kansas and it is his first season in pro basketball.
Diallo represented Mali at the African Championships U16 in Egypt five years ago.
