SAP Vaucluse keeps Soumaoro for another season - Jun 5, 2016

Sorgues-Avignon-Le Pontet Vaucluse (NM1) re-signed 26-year old Mali ex-international power forward Cheick Soumaoro (204-90). He played there last season. In 34 NM1 games he recorded 11.9ppg and 6.4rpg. Soumaoro also spent pre-season at ADA Blois that year.
The previous (14-15) season he played at Angers Etoile d'Or St-Leonard (NM2). He helped them to win the group title.
In 13-14 season Soumaoro played at Union Sportive Charitoise (NM2).
In 12-13 season he played at Aurore de Vitre.
In 11-12 season Soumaoro was tested by SPO Rouen (ProA).
He was also a member of Mali international program for some years. Soumaoro played for Mali Senior National Team between 2009 and 2011 and previously for U18 National Team back in 2008. He represented Mali at the African Championships in Madagascar five years ago. His stats at that event were 5 games: 7.0ppg, 4.2rpg, 1.0spg, FGP: 47.1%, 3PT-3 (50.0%), FT: 87.5%.
Soumaoro has played previously for two other France teams: Toulouse and La Charite.

USFAS remain undefeated at the start of 2017 season posting four victories in a row. In the latest game USFAS grabbed an 80-52 win against Attar club de Kidal for a 4-0 record on top. SIGUI de Kayes, AS Real, Stade and AS Police each share the second place with 3-1 records. AS Real overcame Jeanne d'Arc 55-52, while AS Polce outscored CBD de Koulikoro 56-48.
