This years league has not started yet because we had National Sprite Tournament that was won by Bricks team. The main court that had just been renovated was poorly done hence the surface was damaged during the tournament games. We are waiting for the contractors who did the renovations to redo the work. Infact they have already started but they taking long time. As soon as the finish the work the league will start.
This year we have two new team from town of Zomba, namely Magang'a and Cobbe. Mangang'a is completly a new team formed by Hope Chisamaga who was one of the of guard players for Falcons. He was the MVP for this years Sprite Tournament. Cobbe is not a new team, it was there in the past years now it has regrouped.
This year will have eight teams participating in the non-sponsered SOZOBAL League. This shows how the youngstars really loved basketball. When the League start I will communicate the progress.
