D1 is at the halfway of the Second Stage and there are still another 6 rounds left. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.
The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tripoli: Al Ittihad (#2) and Shabab (#6). Al Ittihad (3-1) won against visiting Shabab (0-4) 79-64. Al Ittihad maintains second position with 3-1 record behind leader Ahly Tripoli, which they share with Nasr. Newly promoted Shabab still closes the standings with four games lost. BERNARD MORENA Al Madina Tripoli (D1) agreed terms with 26-year old Ivorian forward Bernard Morena (203-91kg-91, college: Kennesaw State). He supposed to play at Cambados Cidade Europea do Vino 2017 in Spanish LEB Silver. Morena graduated from Kennesaw State in 2016 and it is his second season as a professional player.
