D1 Round 8: Ahly Benghazi keeps a leadership position - Dec 1, 2016

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Ahly Benghazi as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Ahly Benghazi smashed bottom-ranked Al Tahaddi at home 81-28. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Nasr. Al Tahaddi at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. They share the position with El Nasr Zliten. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Another interesting game for Al Hilal (3-4) which played on the court of Khaled W. (2-5). Fourth ranked Al Hilal won 52-44. Al Hilal have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 3-4 record. Newly promoted Khaled W. keeps the fifth place with five games lost. Nasr claim Cup title - 3 months ago
Nasr have won Libyan Basketball Cup beating Al Ittihad in the Final game. They posted a 60-55 win to seal the trophy. Nasr won the first period 13-7, while the opponents replied with a 15-12 rally in the second frame. Nasr however posted two victories in the second half to win the game. Earlier the teams became the winners of the Preliminary Rounds in their groups.   [read more]
Nasr win Libyan Basketball League - 3 months ago
Nasr have won Libyan Basketball League after the Championship series with three other teams. In day 1 they beat Alahly Benghazi 75-51, while in day 2 Alittihad overcame Nasr 47-46. In day 3 Nasr posted a 55-45 win to triumph in the League. They finished on top with a 2-1 record and had a better difference amongst Alittihad and Alahly Tripoli that ended up with the same 2-1 records. D1 Round 12: Al Madina is defeated by Ahly Tripoli in a derby game - 4 months ago
The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tripoli: Ahly Tripoli (#2) and Al Madina (#4). Al Madina was smashed at home by 21 points 39-60 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Al Madina. Ahly Tripoli have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 11-1 record having 2 victories less than leader Ahly Benghazi.
