Bashana Baheso wins winter tournament dough - Jul 27, 2012

Bashana Baheso basketball club won the annual Lesotho Basketball Associations Winter Tournament and walked away with M1550.00 in prize money. The victory marked the return of the Club to supremacy after beating the current NBL Champs KTA All Stars by 43-24. This is the first major tournament won by Bashana Bahesoin a long time since the club in recent times has been experiencing a slump after narrowly missing out on the NBL Top-4.
The winter tournament was initialed slated for 7th July but due to rain interference on that weekend the tournament could not conclude thats why the mens finals were played this past weekend (21st July) at Lehakoe grounds. The LUCT ladies won the tournament in the ladies category.
LBAs President. Mr. Molupe Mothepu when awarding the money to the Champs congratulated them on their victory and for dethroning KTA and recreating a wave of competition in the league. Mothepu further thanked for the supporters for showing up in great numbers and urged them to come back and support all other forthcoming events, mainly; the inaugural Ladies Only Tournament and the high schools Top8 and Top4 tournaments to be held in August and September respectively.
The final match was officiated by MaleboeaMolotsi, FakoMasupha and ThabisoMatete.
