Kenya Ports Authority men's basketball team are through to the semi-finals after beating USIU-A Tigers 63-51 in the second game of the quarter final play-offs. The coastal side won the first game in Mombasa last weekend. On Saturday, KPA narrowly led 31-28 at halftime bwfore winning 63-51. In this game,Alex Ramzan scored 19 points and Kevin Kigotho 11 for USIU-A. The top scorers for KPA were Evans Letting (22) and Martin Kitongu 12.

Blazers on Saturday qualified for the men's Kenya Basketball Federation Division Two play-offs semi-final after battling from behind to register a 56-50 win over MKU Thika in Game Two at Strathmore University, Madaraka. 5 STELLE SAM Basket Massagno Lugano (SBL) landed 26-year old Kenyan forward Tylor Ongwae (199-93kg-91, college: La-Monroe). He played in the summer at Taranaki Mountainairs in New Zealand NBL league. Ongwae managed to play in four leagues in two countries last year (!!!). In 18 NBL games he averaged impressive 18.0ppg, 5.7rpg, 2.4apg and 1.8spg (in top 3).
