In the men's premier league Blades fell 62-52 to USIU Tigers, the second loss to the Tigers in a week. Blades redeemed themselves against a weak Tralblazers side on Sunday with a 73-46 win. Nairobi City Thunder had another solid game when they floored pre-game favorites USIU Tigers 82-60 in a one sided encounter on Sunday afternoon. Strathmore got off to a poor start against Ulinzi Warriors, after a close 19-14 first quarter the champions went on a 25-3 run in the second quarter on their way to a 86-48 victory.
Equity Bank used 22-7 third quarter run to shake off Nakuru Club in a close game at Menengai High School. They won 71-61. Strathmore Swords dominance over Masaku Sparks continued Friday night when the students registered a deserved 58-40 in their first game this season.
Upperhill continued with their perfect run this season when they beat 4 Christ 60-37. On Sunday morning Umoja got their first season win 64-47 against a struggling 4 Christ.
Zetech University Sparks beat Gladiators 50-31 at Upperhill Secondary School while Daystar University Falcons over came Strathmore Swords 2 57-40 early morning on Sunday.
Former premier league side Blazers continued to dominate the newly created Division Two league with big wins against MKU Thika (50-48) and Riara University Bucks (61-53). It seems Egerton University Assassins will be a tough team to beat in Nakuru, they easily beat Ulinzi 2 66-49.
Emyba who have been losing close games got it right this weekend in another close game beating Baraka Xtreme 33-32.

Strathmore University-sponsored Blades moved closer to qualifying for Kenya Basketball Federation men's Premier League play-offs after collecting two crucial points at the weekend. Blades, coached by Tonny Ochieng, laboured to upset former champions Co-op Bank 45-44 in a return leg match characterised by low scores on Sunday. Thunder trounce Co-op Bank at Strathmore courts - 2 months ago
Thunder registered a stunning 79-75 victory over Co-op Bank in a fiercely contested Premier League clash at Strathmore University courts. The self-supporting Thunder, who missed the injured star guard Griffin Ligare were superb taking the opening quarter 24-17 before trailing 21-17 in the second. Co-op were up 38-36 at the breather. Ulinzi suffer shock loss at the hands of Umoja - 2 months ago
Former national champions Ulinzi Warriors suffered a shock 54-48 defeat at the hands of Umoja in a premier league clash played at Nyayo Stadium gymnasium. The winners got off to a 15-13 first quarter edge and never looked back, ripping the only unbeaten run in the league. Nick Ogoll managed 13 points for Umoja and Erick Mutoro posted 18 for the soldiers.
