Spain clashed with Ivory Coast in the test game in Zaragoza. Sergio Llull (190-SG-87) scored 15 points to lead the hosts to a comfortable victory.
Spain jumped to a massive 27:4 lead ten minutes into the game. The African powerhouse picked up the tempo in the second term. Ivory Coast pulled within 20 points at the interval 23:43. Spain however regained the tempo in the third term. They sank 29 points to take a 24-point lead heading into the fourth quarter. Spain went on a 28:13 run in the final stanza to seal the win. Guillermo Hernangomez (210-C-94) delivered 14 points and 9 caroms, while Rudy Fernandez (197-SF-85) added 13 points in the victory. Guy Landry Edi (202-F/G-88, college: Gonzaga) responded with 13 points for Ivory Coast. Kinidinnin Stephane Konate (191-SG-80) had 10 points in the loss.
