Denain ASC Voltaire (ProB) strengthened their roster with addition of 27-year old American (has also Ivorian passport) swingman Charles Abouo (197-89, college: BYU, agency: Dynamics Global Management). He played most recently at Al Khor in Qatari D1 league. In 18 games he was second best scorer with impressive 25.8ppg and had 12.2rpg (#4 in the league), 4.6apg and 3.7spg (leader !!!) last season. Great year indeed as he was selected All-Qatar D1 Defensive Player of the Year and voted to 2nd Team.
The previous (14-15) season Abouo played at Al Gezira (Superleague) in Egypt. Great season indeed as he was selected All-Egyptian Superleague Defensive Player of the Year and voted to All-Imports Team and voted to 2nd Team.
In 13-14 season he played at Palencia Baloncesto (LEB Gold) in Spanish league. In 35 games he recorded 4.9ppg, 3.1rpg and 1.0spg in 2013-14 season. He helped them to make it to the final.
In 12-13 season Abouo played at Lobe Huesca (LEB Gold) in Spanish league. In 30 games he averaged 7.7ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.1apg and 1.3spg in 2012-13 season. He represented USA at the Afrobasket Championships in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) three years ago. Abouo's team got to the Semifinals and his stats at that event were 7 games: 6.3ppg, 2.7rpg, FGP: 42.1%, 3PT: 36.4%, FT: 40.0%.
Abouo graduated from Brigham Young University in 2012 and it is his fifth season as a professional player.

In 27 games in Germany he recorded 14.6ppg, 10.7rpg and 1.3apg. Great season indeed as he was voted to All-German 2.Bundesliga Pro B Honorable Mention.
