Mohamed
Toure
Openjobmetis Varese (Serie A) is close to sign 24-year old naturalized Ivorian guard Mohamed Toure (190-92, agency: Players Group) who played last time at Fiorentina Basket Scandicci in Italian Serie C Gold. In 30 games he had very impressive stats: 15.9ppg, 3.5rpg and 4.9apg last season. Part of previous (2014-15) season Toure spent at Coelsanus Varese (Serie B). In 8 games he recorded 10.3ppg, 3.9rpg and 2.5apg in 2014-15 season. He also spent pre-season at Viola (Serie A2) that year.
The previous (13-14) season Toure played at Armani Milano. But in 9 Serie A games he recorded just 0.6ppg in 2013-14 season.
In 12-13 season he played at Paffoni Omegna (Serie A2). In 32 games he recorded 7.1ppg, 2.0rpg and 1.3apg in 2012-13 season. Toure won Italian SerieA championship title in 2014. He represented Italy at the European Championships U20 in Slovenia four years ago. His stats at that event were 5 games: 2.2ppg, 1.0apg.
Toure could be described: A promising guard with fantastic athletic skills. He plays with great intensity and energy, and he's yet a good defender, but needs to improve his timing and court vision. Sometimes he goes out fo control. Bright future as a combo guard.
