Presbyterian Senior High School (PRESEC-Osu) and Kumasi Girls High School have won the male and female divisions of the 2018 Sprite Ball Championship respectively. PRESEC beat Mfantsipim School 25-22 while Kumasi Girls piped Accra Wesley Girls 30-29 in overtime.

PRESEC's surprising run in the competition had the team beat Mfantsipim, who have won the competition for a record four times, in two matchups. The two sides squared off in the opening game of this year's Championship which PRESEC won 45-14 before adding the three point win in the second game.

Kumasi Girls could have wrapped up the game at the end of regulation but Most Valuable Player Rose Yeboah missed her last free throw with the game tied at 26. Center Abigail Agyapomaa did not miss her free throe attempt to hand her side the win.

PRESEC Guard Joel Koboayere was named Most Valuable Player in the male division; losing to PRESEC marks Mfantsipim's third straight loss in the finals. Pope John Senior High School placed third after beating surprise package Sacred Heart Technical Institute 21-12 to clinch bronze.

In the female division, Ahantaman Girls Senior High School beat two time national champions Aggrey Memorial Zion Senior High 26-8 to win the bronze medal. Winners of the last edition, Opoku Ware School and Wesley Girls High School crashed out in the group stage as both teams recorded multiple losses.
