Takoradi Technical Institute (TTI), St. John's School, Sekondi and Ahantaman Girl's Senior High School have qualified to compete at the next edition of Ghana's National High School Basketball Championship, Sprite Ball.

TTI and St. John's will represent the Western Region in the boys division at the national games with Ahantaman doing same in the female division. The games will be played from January 4 -6, 2018 at the El Wak Stadium in Ghana's capital, Accra.

St. John's and TTI got past a tough field including Fijai Senior High School and Asankragwa Senior High School while Ahantaman clinched the region's sole spot by clinching the regional title ahead of arch rival Shama Senior High School.

Ahantaman and St. John's will be making their second straight respective appearance at the competition next year with TTI making it to national games for the first time in over four years.

St. John's clinched the bronze medal at the last Sprite Ball held in December 2016 to match Ghana Secondary Technical School's best mark for the region. TTI and St. John's have the chance to upstage reigning champions Opoku Ware School at the national championship; Wesley Girls High School won the last edition in the girls division.
