Ghana Navy is riding on a high following back to back to wins in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women's Division. The side beat Tudu Galaxy 45-39 in an exciting game that mirrors Navy's previous game against Fire Service which the side won 43-36.

The latest win caps off a fine run of form for the Mariners as it maintains its hold on second place in the division after beating Galaxy and dethroning the latter in the process. Navy held a 29-28 lead with 4:24 minutes remaining in the third quarter but finished strong to stretch the lead to 38-29 with Memuna Mumuni and Maria Mensah converting layups.

Galaxy started the final quarter strong closing the deficit to two (36-38) but a Mumuni jumper ended the run and Galaxy's hopes of a comeback as Navy finished strong again to see
out the game.

The follow up game barely thrilled fans gathered at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu as University of Ghana (UG) fell flat losing 11-64 to Fire Service. Aside a few baskets from
Ewoenam Seward, UG performed poorly and found it difficult to generate any kind of offense.

The drab encounter was worth watching because of the shooting exploits of Fire Guard Juliana Cudjoe who torched the tertiary side with a flurry of three point shots and Euro Step Moves.
