Tema Youth demolishes Adenta Leopards to extend winning streak - Mar 30, 2017

Tema Youth's winning run in the 2017 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men's Division I title stands at three following a 64-39 win over Adenta Leopards in a midweek game played at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu, Accra.

The Tema side is still unbeaten in the division alongside Fire Service. However, the former has played a game more than the latter.

Tema produced a dominant second half to end debutant Adenta Leopards unbeaten run in the process. The side held a 23-16 lead in the first half stepped up the pressure on defense in the second to completely put away the reigning Division II Champions.

Tema Point Guard Marco Mensah was instrumental in the win with several big steals and three point shots. The Togolese player paired well with Aninagyei Osei to power Tema's charge despite the absence of key players including Enoch Borsah.

Kwame Boamah Djan came off the bench to block Leopards Edwin Appiah and trigger a fast break that ended with a Mensah layup for the game's highlight play.

Later today at the same venue, games between Fire Service and Ghana Navy and University of Ghana and defending champions Braves of Customs will be played in the Women's Division.

Brimah nets 12 points in debut game for Partizan in Serbia - 7 days ago
Amida Brimah has opened his account for new side Partizan BC scoring 12 points and grabbing nine rebounds in a 90-67 win over Vojvodina in the Serbian playoffs. Brimah's production was excellent since it came in 13 minutes off the bench while adding two blocks in the big home win for Partizan who begin the first round in Group B of the playoffs in a big way.
