Asenso Ampim
NM1 newcomer Union Rennes Basket 35 inked 29-year old American (has also Ghanian passport) small forward Asenso Ampim (203-105kg-88, college: Columbia, agency: Octagon Europe). He started the season at BC Siauliai in Lithuanian LKL league. In 13 games he averaged 11.2ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.6apg and 1.1spg this season. Ampim also played 3 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he had 9.3ppg, 4.0rpg, 2.7apg and 2.7spg. The last season he played at Quimper UJAP. In 6 NM1 games he recorded 10.8ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.3apg. Ampim's team made it to the Baltic League Final Four.
Among other achievements he received Eurobasket.com Estonian League All-Imports Team award back in 2014.
Ampim is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to four different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Ampim has played previously professionally in Finland (Tampereen Pyrinto), Lebanon (Beirut), South Korea (Samsung Thunders) and Estonia (TLU/Kalev).
He attended Columbia University until 2012 and it is his fifth season in pro basketball.
