Tema Youth has inflicted a painful loss on multiple time league champions Braves of Customs after beating the latter 84-78 in overtime in Week 2 of the Accra Basketball League Men's Division I fixtures.
Youth won the rematch of last year's league final that had Braves beat Tema 67-52 at the Lebanon House Court.

Despite, the familiar surroundings, Braves failed to earn another win over its bitter rival. Trailing 49-57 with under three minutes to play, 2013 Ghana Basketball Most Valuable Player Award winner Baniba Dodzie scored two three point shots before Mutaleeb Alhassan scored a layup to level the tie.

Shooting Guard Jonathan Walker did an impersonation of his own by draining consecutive baskets from the same distance to keep the score tied at 76. However, Braves scored just two more points in overtime as Tema 's recommitment to defense forced Braves players to attempt wild shots.

The win means neither Braves Male and Female has won a game so far in the league after the ladies got beaten 29-31 to Tudu Galaxy; Galaxy had just six players turn up for the game. The losses also represents a bad month with Director of Sports Benjamin Baafi's sudden demise.

The second game of the round, which pit Ghana Navy against league new boys Adenta Leopards was not played.
