Tudu Magic has opened the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men's Division I 2017 season with a win by beating DC Dynamics 59-46 at the CCYC Basketball Court at Kawukudi in Accra.

The Magic side looked different from the one that featured in last year's campaign with the likes of Shooting Guards Gabriel Numarworse an Elvis Pobi-Siaw on the roster.
Numarworse joined from Teshie Rangers and Pobi-Siaw joined from the Reformers of Prisons and both men played instrumental roles in the win with conversions from the three point area.
Dynamics failed to get it going on offense and delivered a flat performance in one of the side's poor outings. The game began with a minute silence to former ABL Administrator Benjamin Baafi who passed away on March 1 after a protracted battle with illness.

The league continues on Wednesday March 15 at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu with Ghana Navy set to play debutant Adenta Leopards and a showdown between giant rivals Braves of Customs and Tema Youth to follow.

Braves are the defending champions.
