Ghana Forward Benjamin Bentil has signed a deal with Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) side Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers after moving from America to China recently.
The former Providence College standout, averaged 21 points and seven rebounds in his second year before declaring for the NBA Draft, made the move after playing just a game for Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the NBA Development League.

He scored 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in a 120-99 win over Greensboro Swarm before exiting the team to sign for the Chinese side. He will be primarily a fill in gap for injured and former Brooklyn Nets and Washington Wizards Center Andray Blatche. 2016 NBA Draft 43rd pick Zhou Qi is on the roster after being assigned by Houston Rockets following his
selection.

The move temporarily ends what has been a whirlwind start to professional basketball as the 6 foot 9 inch scorer got drafted 51st this year by Boston Celtics only to be released on the final day of finalizing rosters. Indiana Pacers picked up his rights before assigning him to its Development League affiliate side Fort Wayne.

The 21 year old was named Most Improved Player in the Big East Conference in College.
