Bentil set for shock China move - Nov 21, 2016

NBA Development League side Fort Wayne Mad Ants Forward Ben Bentil is on his way out of the league and America after exiting the side's roster for a stint in the CBA (China Basketball Association).

The news was confirmed by Ants Coach Steve Garnsey who stated in an interview with journalgazzette.net when he said, 'Well, (Bentil) got a lucrative deal overseas and there's an opportunity for him to come back. So that's what the plan is - for him to come back. When that is, I'm not 100 percent sure. But that's the plan'.

Bentil's move came mere hours before Ants played Development League defending champions Sioux Falls; Falls lost the game 125-130 with backup Guard Jordan Lloyd top scoring with 24 points. In his first and only game in the league, Bentil top scored in Fort Wayne's 120-99 win over Greensboro Swarm with a 27 point, 10 rebound double-double.

His Chinese side is not yet known. This is the latest move in a whirlwind few months it has been for the former Providence College star who made history by becoming Ghana's first native to be drafted into the NBA.

Boston Celtics drafted him 51st in June's draft but got cut before signing for Indiana Pacers only to get assigned to Pacers Development League affiliate Fort Wayne.

Games in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women's Division returned with a couple of exciting games involving the top ranked teams in the league, Tudu Galaxy and Braves of Customs.
