Dawda Njie is a 6'7'', 200 lbs post player finshing up his junior year at David Emmanuel Academy in Georgia. I had an opportunity to speak to this Gambian player and it went something like this:
Rolando: How are you liking David Emmanuel Academy?
Dawda: I really like it here. Everyone has been very nice to me and I am learning a great deal.
Rolando: How do you like being in the United States so far?
Dawda: I really like it so far.
Rolando: What are the differences between the game here and the game in Gambia?
Dawda: The game in the states is more organized and you have good coaching and better facilities.
Rolando: What aspect of your game are you working on right now?
Dawda: I am really concentrating on my post moves.
Rolando: Going to any camps this summer?
Dawda: Just the Georgia Southern Camp so far.
Rolando: What are your predictions for the coming year for your team?
Dawda: I am realy looking forward to it. I think we are going to have a very good team.
Rolando: Best player you played against in Gambia?
Dawda: Njagu Taal.

Next year will be Dawda's first year of competition for DEA since he was ineligible this year because he arrived too late in the year.
