Gambian forward Baboucarr Bojang (204-F-80, college: Illinois St.) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for BC Nokia, receiving a Eurobasket.com 1st Division Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 30-year old player had a double-double of 29 points and 24 rebounds, while his team outclassed Ura Basket (#7, 5-5) with 37-point margin 91-54. BC Nokia maintains the 4th position in Finnish 1st Division. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. BC Nokia will need more victories to improve their 7-3 record. Baboucarr Bojang turned to be BC Nokia's top player in his first season with the team. Former Illinois State University star has very solid stats this year. Baboucarr Bojang is in league's top in points (7th best: 19.8ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 16.1rpg) and averages impressive 2.3spg and 59.8% FGP.
