Gabon awarded wild card for 2016 FIBA Africa U18 Championship - 5 months ago

Gabon have been awarded a wild card to take part in this month's 2016 FIBA Africa U18 Championship, it was announced on Tuesday following a decision made by the FIBA Africa Board. The continental tournament will take place in Kigali, Rwanda, from 22-31 July. Stephan Lasme faces possible suspension - 6 months ago

Stephan Lasme may be suspended for at least three months. The Gabonese centre has reportedly tested positive for the prohibited substance after the TBL quarterfinal game. Stephane Lasme is facing a minimum suspension of three months in case the test results are confirmed. Stephan Lasme tallied 11.2 points, 6.6 rebounds per game for Galatasaray in EuroCup last season. His stats read also 11.6 points and 6.2 rebounds per appearance in the Turkish League.    [read more]
